During the using of the vibration controller, the user will install a vibration control software on a computer, the test will be performed at a certain point in time. In some cases, users will need to install multiple vibration control software on the same computer and run multiple tests independently at the same time.

Some users will ask if it is possible to achieve? The answer is yes.

PART1 Hardware

The same computer can run up to 4 vibration control tests independently at the same time. We take 2 VENZO 880 vibration controllers as an example:

Configuration:

Switch (or router) 1qty.

Network cables  3qty.

Connection points: 2 vibration controllers, computers are connected to the switch (or router) by network cable connection.

PART2 Software

  1. Install VENZO 800 Series Vibration Control Software.

  2. Find the Settings folder under the software installation path (such as the default installation path of win7 system: C:\Program Files (x86)\DynaTronic Corporation\VENZO)

  1. For V2.5.3 and earlier versions: Find the "setting.ini" file and open it with the Notepad program. Change the statement "OnlyOneMutex=1" to "OnlyOneMutex=0" and save it after modification. (In the win7 operating system, when modifying the "setting.ini" file, "Access Denied" may appear. Try to use the following method: 1. Find the notepad.exe file by searching on the computer; 2. Right-click, and run as administrator; 3. Find the setting.ini file through Open under the File menu, modify and save it.)

  2. For V2.5.19 and later versions: Create a new SubProgram text document under the Settings folder. Find the Global file in the path "D:\DTC\ VibExpert", and change the statement "OnlyOneMutex=1" to "OnlyOneMutex=0" and save it after modification.

  1. Copy and paste the VENZO folder under the installation path to another path (eg: C:\Users), so that two vibration control softwares are installed. In the path of "C:\Users\VENZO\Bin", find the VibExpert icon. To avoid duplication with another control software icon, user can modify the name of the icon (such as VibExpert1) and create a desktop shortcut.

    4. At this point, two vibration control software icons will appear on the computer desktop.

    5. Ensure that the IP addresses of the two controllers and the IP address of the computer's local connection are in the same network segment and are not duplicated.

    6. Users can double-click the icon of the vibration control software to open the two vibration control software at the same time.

The IP addresses of two controllers can be set through "Connected Devices - Network Configuration":

Typical PC Local Area Connection IP Settings:

Two vibration control softwares are open at the same time to run different tests independently:

    PART3  Run multiple experiments simultaneously

The IP (192.168.1.168) vibration controller runs a sine frequency sweep test, and the IP (192.168.1.166) vibration controller runs a random vibration test. Below please find the test control process:

PART4  Free switching with multiple controllers

The above two vibration controllers with 8 inputs can be switched to a 16 input channels controllers, only need one synchronization box and two synchronization cables, that can meet the requirements of complex structures.

The channel 1 and channel 9 as the control points for this control system. The Sine test control process as below:

Except VENZO 880, the VENZO 820 and 8160 controllers can also be used independently with the same computer to switch a system to achieve the testing requirements.
