Triaxial IEPE Accelerometers

Triaxial IEPE accelerometers are advanced vibration sensors that measure acceleration across three orthogonal axes (X, Y, and Z) simultaneously. By capturing multi-directional vibration data from a single mounting point, they provide a complete and accurate view of dynamic behavior—making them ideal for vibration testing, structural analysis, and condition monitoring. Compared to single-axis accelerometers, they remove the need for multiple sensors and repeated setups, reducing installation time and measurement uncertainty while ensuring all directional data is captured under the same conditions for higher data integrity.

Built on the piezoelectric effect with integrated IEPE signal conditioning, each axis contains its own sensing element that generates an electrical charge proportional to acceleration, which is then converted into a low-impedance voltage signal. With power and signal transmitted through a single cable using a constant current supply, setup is simplified and noise is minimized—especially in multi-channel systems. Shock Sensors

Shock sensors are specialized devices designed to measure high-magnitude, short-duration acceleration events—known as mechanical shock—caused by impacts, drops, collisions, explosions, or sudden motion changes. Unlike standard vibration sensors, they are built to withstand and accurately capture extreme acceleration peaks (often hundreds or thousands of g) without signal saturation or damage. This makes them essential for analyzing peak loads, impact severity, and transient response in applications where safety, reliability, and design validation are critical. Typical use cases include drop and impact testing, transportation shocks, pyrotechnic events, and sudden mechanical stops, all of which require sensors with very high bandwidth, fast response, and strong overload resistance.
